Jackie Olexa

Jackie Olexa is a second-year undergraduate student studying Wildlife Biology and Computer Science. In Wheeler Lab, she is just beginning her exploration into defining long tandem repeats, using low-frequency filters and the Fourier Transform.

Outside of Wheeler Lab, Jackie has engaged with the UM community through her work for the Davidson Honors College and tutoring Organic and Biochemistry. She hopes that post-Covid allows her more chances to engage in clubs across campus.

Jackie’s hobbies include hiking, camping, cross-stitching, horseback riding, and playing board games with her friends and family.
